NewPlays YouTube


Following the recent launch of his Facebook page, Norwich Writers' Circle committee member James Dimelow has now created his own YouTube channel.

The new video channel will used to promote James’ plays, and will also highlight the best theatre-related short films currently available to watch online.

The Assembly House


A film celebrating Norwich Writers' Circle's historic meeting venue is now available to watch on our YouTube channel.

New Programme Reminder


The start of our 2010/11 programme is now only a month away.

Highlights of our new programme include visits from Taggart creator Glenn Chandler, travel writer Laurence Mitchell and children's author Paeony Lewis. We will also be welcoming back Lucy McCarraher and Jean Fullerton, both of whom proved immensely popular on their previous Circle visits.

Everyone is more than welcome to come along to our free Open Evening on 21st September - the first meeting of the new season.

Enter Stage Left


As some of our members may have seen in last Friday's Eastern Daily Press, Garboldisham Amateur Dramatic Society are holding a Playwrighting Competition.

Entrants in the competition must be over 18, and must write a one-act play that has a running time of up to 45 minutes.

The competition closes on the 31st October 2010, and its entry fee is £10.00. The First Prize is £200.00, plus a performance of the winning play by the local amateur dramatic group.

Visiting Writers Celebration


Our recently launched YouTube channel has been updated to include a film which celebrates all the visiting writers from NWC's 2009/10 programme.

Amongst the featured writers included in the short video are Simon Scarrow, Lucy McCarraher and Jean Fullerton, the latter two of whom will be returning to the Circle in the coming months.
