Home From Home
One of Norwich Writers' Circle budding members is currently seeking cheap or free accommodation whilst they work on their latest project.
Jo Amos is looking to move to the Norwich, and would like help in finding a long-term housesitting/property caretaking/work for accommodation opportunity.
Jo is University educated with management experience. During recent years she has gained experience in the above whilst travelling. She is willing to clean and maintain a property, look after pets, and help around the garden in return for free/cheap accommodation.
Finally, Jo works part-time for the Norfolk Library Service and is CRB checked.
If you think you help, please e-mail Jo, or call 07790 193583.

Open Evening 2010
This evening proved popular, and gave the opportunity for the Circle to introduce itself and hear a variety of work written by visitors and members.
Amongst the work read out, and then discussed, by our friendly writing group included a couple of colourful travelogues, plus a selection of short stories and poetry, the latter of which was aimed at children.
Our next meeting is on 5th October. This meeting features a visit from author and screenwriter Glenn Chandler, who is best known for creating the long-running ITV police series Taggart.
We hope to see you then.

Today Not Tomorrow
The lunchtime event to promote Today Not Tomorrow, written under the name Faith Lawrence, was well attended by friends, family and fellow writers.
Today Not Tomorrow is the autobiography of a spoiled brat living on the fringe in the Roaring Twenties. The book features details of Faith's life as the child of a self-made tycoon, widower and knight of the realm. The new publication also includes tales of the theatre, along with the author's recollections of being an Edwardian beauty.
The book, to be published by Pen Press on 2nd October, will be available to buy online from Amazon, amongst others.
Congratulations Faith - we look forward to reading what promises to be an interesting life story.

Open Evening Reminder
Our 2010/2011 programme, which begins with an Open Evening, is now only a week away.
Entry to the Open Evening is free. This meeting gives an opportunity for the Circle to introduce itself, and to hear a selection of both members and visitors work read aloud.
We recommend that any manuscripts featured next week are no longer than 500 words and/or 10 minutes in length.
Everyone is more than welcome to our friendly writing group - reading aloud is not compulsory.
For more information of this year's upcoming meetings, including visiting writers and more, please visit norwichwriters.org.uk.
